This piece epitomizes both the strength and delicacy of a bird’s nests. As an exploration of home and balanced co-existence, this sculpture can sit evenly on a shelf or table, with the grass nest balanced and secured to the found branch. As with all my pieces, I use natural and non toxic materials. Part of my work focuses on the impermanence and ephemerality of nature as it holds space for us to reflect on our own place in the ever changing world we share with so many expressions of life, and therefore there are no archival or preservation measures taken for this piece beyond time and drying.
